ECCQ aims to increase self-reliance by supporting aspiring community leaders from new and emerging multicultural communities to increase their leadership capacity.
ECCQ’s Peak Body Funding for Sector Development Services Program develops educational workshops and forums for community groups and associations in Brisbane, and regional Queensland to discuss and learn to set up and develop organisational capabilities in community associations and multicultural groups.
The Alcohol Harm Prevention Project, delivered in partnership with Lives Lived Well, aims to better understand community perspectives and solutions to reduce the harms, stigma and discrimination associated with alcohol by building the capacity of Vietnamese, Sudanese and Samoan communities in the Brisbane City Council area.
In collaboration with Challenge Employment & Training, ECCQ’s Bright Future Project provides support and assistance to culturally and linguistically diverse Queenslanders to undertake formal training to gain nationally recognised skills and vocational qualifications.
