Are you looking for information about sexual health that is appropriate and relevant to you, your community, or your clients?
We actively work with culturally and linguistically diverse communities across Queensland to increase awareness about sexual health. It is vital that people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds are not disadvantaged in accessing sexual health information and services, and that the promotion of wellbeing is appropriate for the diverse needs of these communities. We provide a variety of services and information on sexual health, including free workshops, bilingual community health workers, support groups, translated material and general resources.
How we can help you
We offer free workshops and presentations on HIV/AIDS, hepatitis and STIs to culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities including CALD youth, service providers, bilingual health workers and volunteers. Some workshops can be delivered in community languages. A minimum of six participants are required.
If you are interested in booking a free workshop or presentation, please contact Mekita Vanderheyde, Multicultural Resources, Training and Community Development Officer on 3844 9166 or email email@example.com. You can read more about the types of workshops we offer here.
We provide support groups for specific health issues such as sexual health. Support groups give people the opportunity to share their experiences, and connect with other people in the community. For further information about our support groups, or if you are interested in working with ECCQ to set up a health focused support group, please contact Mekita Vanderheyde, Multicultural Resources, Training and Community Development Officer on 3844 9166 or firstname.lastname@example.org
We have created fact sheets that go through the basics of sexual health:

If you are looking for a sexual health organisation or service, we have put together a Health Services Directory. This list contains contact details for government and non-government HIV/AIDS, hepatitis, sexual health services as well as legal services and multicultural organisations.
