The BBV&STI Program at ECCQ is funded by Queensland Health to provide BBV&STIs prevention and management services to people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds, including migrants and refugees.
The Prevention, Testing and Awareness Program aims to reduce infections of BBV&STIs in CALD populations, and the Management and Treatment Program aims to support and improve access to care for people affected by hepatitis B and/or C. The Chinese Community Health Worker will provide health promotion activities in the Chinese community and to provide education and support to people diagnosed with viral hepatitis, particularly chronic Hepatitis B, from the Chinese community. The successful applicant is required to work closely with Chinese-speaking GPs and other staff in the program.
