Evelyn and Angeline receive recognition for 10 years of service to ECCQ

On 17 December, two of our staff members were presented with Certificates for 10 Years of Service to ECCQ. CEO Garry Page presented the certificates to Evelyn Thew Win Pe, Bilingual Community Health Worker – Burmese communities and Angeline Mujawamariya, Bilingual Community Health Worker – African communities.

Zhihong Gu, Hepatitis, HIV/AIDS and Sexual Health Program Manager has worked closely with both Evelyn and Angeline for the past decade and she says their commitment to their communities and to ECCQ has made a lasting positive difference in the areas of prevention and management.

“Both Evelyn and Angeline are well known in their communities as health workers who provide education, information and support,” she said. “Community members trust them and feel comfortable talking to them about sensitive health issues they normally wouldn’t talk to others about. They are making a real difference in people’s lives. I thank them for their dedication, enthusiasm and hard work.”
