1 November 2018: The Ethnic Communities Council of Queensland (ECCQ) held its annual general meeting last night at the Queensland Multicultural Centre in Kangaroo Point.
The following Board positions were uncontested and declared:
Mr Budd serves as the President of the Gateway Community Group at Cannon Hill, founded the Australian South Sea Islander Research Association and raises money and awareness for medical research. Mr Yau has been president of several Chinese associations including the Queensland Chinese Forum, the Hong Kong Association (founding member) and Australia Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce. Mr Daniloff is on the board of the Russian Benevolent Association for Homes for the Aged, which manages the aged care facility, Pine Lodge. Mr Prasad is the founder and president of the Fiji Senior Citizens Association of Queensland and has coordinated the annual Senior’s Multicultural Dinner for the past 13 years.
CEO Garry Page said the Directors bring a wealth of experience to the Board and are valuable contributors to achieving the goals of ECCQ.
