Building Australian Skills for Employment (BASE) Program

The BASE Program is one of ECCQ’s endeavours to passionately support multicultural Queenslanders. We believe that everyone, irrespective of their background, should be able to participate and contribute in all aspects of Australian society. We also know that diversity and inclusion builds stronger communities characterised by cooperation, trust and sharing of cultures.

Among other things participants of the BASE program receive training on:

  • Individual Support Plans
  • Australian Political System & Funding
  • Communication Skills
  • Networking, making connections
  • Career pathways
  • Recognition of Qualifications
  • Applying for jobs
  • Interview Skills

The BASE Program received an overwhelming amount of applicants and we know that there is a vast demand throughout communities to attend such programs. We hope to have more opportunities to deliver more programs that ultimately lead to higher economic participation and increased social cohesion throughout Queensland.

The program is proudly funded by the Queensland Government through its Skilling Queenslanders for Work Initiative.
