20 November 2014: A cases study carried out by Curtin University and Griffith University found that refugees are at risk of chronic disease as a result of unhealthy diets and poor nutrition choices.
The Ethnic Communities Council of Queensland (ECCQ) has been funded by Queensland Health until June 2017 to continue to deliver a culturally specific lifestyle modification and education group program for priority and emerging culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities living in Queensland. East Coast Apprenticeships are seeking refugee or humanitarian applicants with permanent residency status to become qualified carpenters through a unique FREE 14-week Pilot Training Program.
